Here is a weekly feature called ‘Friday favorites’ where we highlight some of our favorite inspirations from this last week, enjoy.


Artist: Phil Noto, illustration

While attending the Ringling School of Design, Phil Noto began his career as an intern at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida. After two more years of illustration study, he returned to Disney Animation as a clean-up artist. In 2001, Phil started his comic career as the cover artist for DC Comics’ Birds of Prey.

Starting in comic books, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became even more popular in the late ’80s and ’90s through cartoons, then through video games and movies. It is certainly a very successful franchise. I can even remember dressing up as Donatello for Halloween one year as a youngling. Fun stuff! Naturally, many fans equals much fan art. Enjoy!
